Product details
Habitat
It is native to the Mediterranean coast and cultivated all over the world. It is more cold-resistant and not heat-resistant; it likes sunlight and is also tolerant to half shade; it likes fertile, loose and well-drained slightly acidic sandy loam; it is not sensitive to the length of light; the optimum temperature for growth is 16-26℃.
Seed propagation
In order to extend the flowering period, spring, summer and autumn can be planted in stages. Before sowing, soak the seeds with 0.5% potassium permanganate solution for 1-2 hours to kill pathogenic bacteria on the surface of the seeds. The seeding substrate uses disinfected humus soil or peat soil. Snapdragon seeds are small, in order to ensure uniform spreading, use fine sand to mix the seeds before spreading. Because snapdragons are radiant, there is no need to cover the soil after sowing or only need to be covered with sieved fine soil 2-3 mm. Take care to prevent the seeds from being washed away when watering. Under the condition of 15-20℃, germinate in about 1 week. The seedbed should be shaded and protected from rain. The shade should be removed after 1 week, and 4-6 true leaves should be topped and transplanted separately.
