Maple is a general term for some plants in the Aceaceae of the order Soappindus. The arbor can be more than 29 meters high and the crown width can reach 16 meters. Flowering period is from April to May, fruit period is from September to October. As the tree ages, the canopy gradually opens up and takes a round shape. The branches are reddish-brown to brown with small holes. The branches are dark brown or gray in winter. The maple leaf is gorgeous in color and beautiful in shape, and can be used to make bookmarks and specimens. It becomes fiery red in autumn, and crimson when it falls on the ground.
Planting method
Soak the seeds in 40℃ warm water for 24 hours, then mix the seeds with 2 times moist river sand evenly, put them in the seed storage cellar (or pit), take out the seeds half a month before sowing, spread them in the leeward and sunny place, and open them in the open air. Germination, sowing when about 1/3 of the seeds begin to crack.
Maple leaves turn red
The leaves contain a lot of chlorophyll, so the color is green. In autumn, the weather becomes cold, the growth of trees slows down, and the chlorophyll in the leaves is gradually decreasing. In the end, only lutein is left, and the leaves turn yellow. The maple leaf contains a special substance-anthocyanin, which is the opposite of chlorophyll. As the weather turned cooler, the number gradually increased, causing the maple leaves to turn red.
