51247332698 Rear Right Tailgate Power Lift for BMW X6 E7

Rear liftgate lift support shocks are charged cylinders which apply an accurate amount of pressure on the lid's bottom. As soon as you release the trunk or tailgate from inside of the vehicle and it raises about halfway, this is when shock struts come into play. Makes your tailgate opening or closing easy and comfortable, convenient and safe. On the basis of equipment design, direct replacement for the old and broken one.
1. Start with the gate fully open and supported. It helps to have a second person hold the liftgate (or hood/trunk lid) open while the support is out. If you don't have a second person, you can use a broom handle or something like that.
2. Use a flat- screwdriver to release the flat bale clip that holds the support onto the post. Top or bottom post, does not matter.
3. Next, place the new support into position and snap the post into the mount on the support, again, top or bottom first does not matter.
4.the new strut onto the ball stud and release the clip. When you release the liftgate, do so slowly, checking to make sure the supports are fully installed and supporting the weight.
