AD9833 is a low-power, programmable waveform that can generate sine, triangle and square wave outputs.
Waveform generation is required in various types of sensing, actuation and time domain reflectometry (TDR) applications.
The output frequency and phase are programmable, allowing easy tuning.
No external components are required.
The frequency register is 28 bits wide: using a 25 MHz clock rate, a resolution of 0.1 Hz can be achieved; using a clock rate of 1 MHz, the AD9833 can be adjusted to a resolution of 0.004 Hz
AD9833 has a standard serial interface, allowing the device to directly connect to multle microproceors. The device uses an external serial clock to write data or control information into the device
The AD9833WBRMZ-REEL model provides controlled manufacturing to support the quality and reliability requirements of automotive applications. Note that the car model can have different specifications than the commercial model; therefore, designers should carefully read the "Specifications" section of this data sheet. AD9833 writes through the 3-wire serial interface. The serial interface operates at clock rates up to 40 MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller standards. The device uses a 2.3 V to 5.5 V power supply
AD9833 has a power down function (SLEEP). This allows parts of the device that are not in use to be powered down, thereby minimizing the current consumption of the component, for example, the DAC can be powered down when a clock output is being generated
