Product details

A valve cover bolts over the internal combustion engine's cylinder head. The space between the rest of the engine block and the valve cover is sealed using a valve cover gasket, while a valve cover breather can be located at the top. A valve cover gasket seals the valve cover to the top portion of the engine cylinder head. The gasket prevents motor oil from leaking out as it travels around the camshafts, rockers and valves.
This Engine Valve Cover with Gasket fits for 2007 - 2012 Sentra L4 2.5L, 2007 - 2013 Altima L4 2.5L.
If valve cover becomes loose or if the gasket material fails, the burning oil smell will occur. When a valve cover gasket is pinched, worn out or cracked, compressed oil from underneath the valve cover will find a way to escape. Valve cover is dirty and leaking oil; Engine is low on oil; Engine is running rough and causing misfires. The above are all symptoms that occur when the valve cover or gasket fails.
This special gasket has the task to protect all valve components as well as the parts in the cylinders from pollutants. Alternatively, the valve cover and the valve cover gasket keep the cylinder components sealed inside so that no oil or petrol splashes around. A gasket breaks after a few thousand miles, so it is natural for you to have it replaced, it is very likely that you will get an engine seizure if you do not have it replaced.
