-When air flows around a moving object, it must accelerate because the flow path around the object is er than its length. For winglets, this accelerated flow around the curved nose of the fairing is an excellent choice because the potential for generating lift increases in the square of the airspeed.

-It se that the new concept is being applied to the downforce problem, that is, the vortex lift problem. In aircraft such as the F-16, the rapidly rotating vortex flows from the forward extension of the wing (called glove s) back and forth on the wing.
