Question:Does MITCHELL REEL offer rods and reels for saltwater use especially for backwater red drum? Please advise.

Answer:I see no reason why the rods and reels couldn't be used in salt water. Always a good idea to rinse in fresh water after use.

Question:When you back crank will the bail center up on top to release the line?

Answer:No. Either you can't back crank at all or it will back crank continuously depending how the controlling lever is set.

Question:does it have anti-reverse

Answer:Yes. Just flip the lever on the bottom side of the reel.

Question:What is the frame made out of?

Answer:I don't know for sure but at this price point I always assumed that the frame would be composite.
