Ts for using your Stetho properly
1.Align the headsetBefore placing the earts in your ears, make sure they point forward, away from you. (Figure A) This ensures that the eartubes will align with your ear cs for comfort and maximum sound transmiion. Holding the headset in front of you with one eartube in each hand, pull the headset open and place the earts into your ears. (Figure B)
If the fit isn't comfortable, or acoustic performance is lacking, adjust the headset tension. All our stethos feature adjustable headsets. Gently the eartubes together to increase headset tension; pull them apart to decrease tension.
Wearing the headset improperly, (earts pointing backwards, for example, as in Figure C) can result in a poor acoustic seal and, in some cases, complete sound blockage. A. Proper Insertion B. Correct Positioning C. Incorrect Positioning
2.Rotate to switch Adult side or Pediatric sideWhen using a double-sided stetho, you need to open (or index) the side you want to use-Adult side or Pediatric side-by rotating the chestpiece. If the Adult side is open, the Pediatric side will be closed, preventing sound from coming in through the Pediatric side, and vice versa. Also Pediatric side can converts to an open bell by removingthe single-piece diaphragm. When using either side, To hear low frequency sounds:Apply light preure , To hear high frequency sounds:apply heavy preure.
