It's plain in appearance but the best parts of the HP 250 G6 are hidden inside. This laptop has a surprising amount of power. Despite it's affordable price, it offers specs and performance comparable to laptops twice the price.
It has textured finish that gives the laptop a sturdy look, long battery life, and more plus a DVD drive. It’s an ENERGY STAR Certified laptop with an HP Smart 45-W external AC adapter.
The keyboard has a tidy layout and there is even a full-sized number pad, which is very useful. The keys are easy to type on and offer a quiet typing experience. As for the trackpad, it has a classic design with two dedicated mouse buttons. The trackpad is wide and spacious enough for performing multi-finger gestures.
The G6 is programmed to be an affordable laptop. It handles most relevant tasks, much in part due to its Intel Core i5 processor. For communication, video conferencing, there is an HP TrueVision HD camera as well as dual stereo speakers.
The External I/O ports include 1 headphone / microphone combo, 1 AC power, 2 USB 3.1 (Gen 1) ports, 1 HDMI, 1 USB 2.0 port, RJ-45, and AC power. For expansion slots, the HP 250 G6 comes with a multi-format digital media reader that supports SD / SDXC / SDHC.

While nothing too sophisticated, the HP 250 G6 does perform very well for its low price. It does have a fairly large SATA hard drive, with a 500GB capacity (7200-RPM). On top of that, there are always cloud options. The HP Long Life 3-cell battery (41-Wh Li-Ion) offers a long battery life of up to 5 hours and 45 minutes.
